7 Movies That Should’ve Been Franchises
With all of the recycled junk that Hollywood throws at us, we’re certainly not left wanting for sequels. But where so many movies given the franchise treatment have resulted in unwatchable dreck, there are some terrific movies that just beg for sequels — cries that no one has answered. Read more »
Awesome Buildings at the World Architecture Festival
Architecture geeks, this post is for all of you. You have probably heard of the World Architecture Festival, an event which is held yearly to celebrate the world’s greatest buildings. Some of them are already completed, while others are in the planning stages. One thing is for sure: the entries are breathtaking. Some of them even have this out of this world look. This year, the World Architecture Festival is going to be held in Barcelona, Spain. There are more than 700 entries coming from 59 countries. Obviously, we can’t feature all of them here, but take a look at some of the most eye catching man-made creations that have Read more »
New Black Rock Shooter TV Anime
Fans of the Black Rock Shooter (BRS) franchise will no doubt be happy to hear that it is finally getting its own TV series. Considering how popular BRS is, having already spawned an OVA, game, and an overwhelming amount of merchandise, this was only inevitable. The series will begin airing in January 2012, but what’s surprising is that it will be broadcast on Fuji TV’s noitaminA timeslot. If you are unfamiliar with noitaminA, it is a timeslot created in 2005 to showcase anime targeted at female young adults and audiences other than the male teenager. Popular titles that have aired on noitaminA include: Honey and Clover, Nodame Cantabile, Eden of Read more »

How Much Is Six Million Dollars Worth Anyway?
Quite the delicacy of first issues this week, and I am beginning to wonder if Dark Horse will retain its mastery of the licensed titles. Both Dynamite and IDW continue to challenge them with impressive offerings, as we see this week with the release of The Bionic Man #1 from Dynamite, and the return of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by Kevin Eastman from IDW. It makes a nice change to not be talking about the DCnU, but on that note – Aaaaaand another thing! I’ve been re-reading Countdown, which at the time was panned and seen as a poor successor to Fifty Two, but compared to the Flashpoint? It’s Read more »
Speeding Superheroes Artwork: Catch ‘em if You Can
Superheroes and artwork will never get old. At least not if the artwork is good, or at the very least, interesting. I just discovered an artist by name of Keron Grant, and what he has done with a handful of superheroes is definitely interesting, and I dare say, awesome. Don’t forget to get involved in the comic book debates at the ForeverGeek Forum! You might be thinking that drawing superheroes is nothing to write about, but Keron Grant’s work is more than static depictions of these creatures we look up to. To make things more exciting and breathtaking, the artist has incorporated the element of motion. Indeed, he has made Read more »
Sprint Wireless Total Equipment Protection: Locate, Repair and Backup Your Phone With Ease
This post brought to you by Sprint. All opinions are 100% mine. Having worked in the cellular industry for the last 15 years I can attest to the fact that cell phones typically don’t meet the end of their lifecycle, they are either lost, stolen or shattered into a bunch of tiny pieces (type of damage varies from person to person). In many cases users can buy protection for their phones, however after the 30 days period following your purchase passes the ability to buy that protection is typically lost forever, a fact Sprint Wireless is remedying by allowing users for a short period of time to enroll in Read more »
Review: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
I can’t help comparing Deus Ex: Human Revolution to its progenitor, the original Deus Ex. Because playing through the vast, complex game, it’s clear that new studio Eidos Montreal was studying the first game very closely. Read more »
