The 2011 InfoWorld Geek IQ Test

Geek IQ Test 470x208 The 2011 InfoWorld Geek IQ Test

Geek IQ Test

It’s official. I am a failure as a geek, although I have my doubts as to whether or not this torturous test is supposed to give you concrete proof about your geek cred. Yeah, that’s probably me sour graping. Yesterday, I discovered the 2011 InfoWorld Geek IQ Test, which is meant to “test your mettle where it really counts”. And where does it count? I guess the answer depends on you.

I tried the 2011 InfoWorld Geek IQ Test out of curiosity, and boy, this cat has another life that just went down the drain. The first question did tickle my fancy, as it was about the Big Bang Theory. No, not the TV series which seems to be getting worse as each episode is shown this season. And no, I will not say anymore out of concern for those who would want to prove their superiority in geek matters. I did see my buddy Chuck Lorre in one of the multiple choice answers, though!

The geek IQ test covers a lot of ground, from ARCNET to Gingerbread to cloud computing. And please, if you have a sensitive ego, you do not take sarcasm well, and you are not that much of a trivia person, avoid this geek IQ test. These guys do know how to rub it in when you get the wrong answers!

Then again, if you really feel confident, or you simply don’t mind having a bit of fun and learning new (probably useless) stuff, head over to InfoWorld and take the test.

Seriously, does knowing what happened in the TV series “Heroes” count toward your being a geek? Yeah, I failed miserably.
