This post is just about two years late. Yep. That’s how long it took me to finally grab a copy of 7 Wonders, easily one of the most epic board games in recent history. Released last year, 7 Wonders has already won a Cannes Jury Prize alongside 28 other awards. I’ve been playing this card development game a couple of months after its release but it was only recently I was able to acquire it as I live on the other side of the pond. 7 Wonders is a card development game for 2 to 7 players. It is set in ancient times and each player controls his own civilization Read more »

Batman: Arkham World?
Rocksteady’s not serious about this. Are they? At the VGAs Saturday night, the Joker (in all his CG glory) appeared to accept his award for Best Character — while holding a script for a third game in the Batman series called Batman: Arkham World. But it was just the developer goofing with us. Probably. Read more »
Bansky Does London Again
It was only recently that I discovered Bansky, but one look at his works of red and black was enough to get me. I am sure that hardcore Banksy fans will have more to say about the artist and his work, and especially about his recent presence in London. We still know nil about Banksy, but his art speaks for itself. Here are some of the most recent art that have cropped up. So you are yearning for a certain lifestyle? Sucks to be you. Banksy says that the lifestyle you want is out of stock. Better buck up, and learn to enjoy what you have! How do you feel Read more »

Punk Princesses Will Make You Look Twice
Books, TV series, and movies have traditionally portrayed princesses as dainty little things that need some protection and rescuing. Even those stories which show the stronger streak in women still somehow manage to depict princesses in the “sugar and spice and all things nice” manner. Of course, we have seen more recent illustrations of princesses – and women in general – that kick butt, and I didn’t really hear anyone complain. Here’s another set of illustrations which show a whole different side to princesses. For sure, many will appreciate the edge that the illustrations give these gals, but somehow, I am not sure that their respective fathers (or father figures) Read more »
Is This a Zombie? Review
Ayumu Aikawa was justĀ an ordinary high school boy, but then one day he was cut down by a crazed serial killer. It was all over for Ayumu and he was about to rest in peace when he woke up and found that he had been revived by a cute necromancer named Eucliwood Hellscythe. Unfortunately, being revived by Eucliwood has some side effects, mainly gaining some zombie-like powers. Ayumu can no longer die, even if he is sliced to bits, but his body will shrivel up in direct sunlight. Another downside is that he and Eucliwood attract other magic users, eventually causing him to become a cross-dressing zombie magical girl wielding Read more »
Ascension: Return of the Fallen Expansion now on iOS
A couple of weeks ago I interviewed Justin Gary of Gary Games — better known as one of the Magic Pro-Tour players who founded the highly addicting deck building game, Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer. In this interview he hinted of an iOS version of the first expansion, Return of the Fallen due soon. And “soon” really meant before the holidays. For USD $2.99 you can upgrade your version of Ascension and buy RotF as an in-app purchase for USD $2.99. BUY ASCENSION: RETURN OF THE FALLEN (USD $2.99) Return of the Fallen introduces a new expansion deck which can be incorporated into the main game or played separately, albeit Read more »
