Another year, another Christmas. So what did Santa Claus bring you this year? The latest and greatest gadget? Your favorite movie or video game? Something else?
On Christmas Eve night, my family and I went for a drive to look at Christmas lights, and while in one of the higher-end neighborhoods in town, we passed a house with a car in the garage that actually had a giant red bow on top. I thought that only happened in TV commercials.

I got DVDs for Smallville Season 10 (which completes that series for me), Dollhouse Season 2 (which completes that series for me) and Cars 2. And I got not one, but two new sets of headphones. I was also given some cash that was specifically earmarked for me to purchase music (I can’t use iTunes software on my Linux computer, so an iTunes gift card doesn’t do me any good). I divided my music purchases between the Android Music Market and the Amazon MP3 store.
Oh, I almost forgot. A friend gave me a book of poetry written by Leonard Nimoy that was actually autographed by him. I’m not much of an autograph collector, but as a huge fan of Star Trek TOS, I thought that was extremely cool.
