I have this thing for tissue paper. I don’t know when it started, but for as long as I can remember, I always have to have tissue around. There is always a pack of travel tissue in my bag. I like having a box or two of tissues lying around the house. There are always rolls of toilet paper at home.1
It might be a tad strange, but we all have our quirks, don’t we? And if it is tissue and quirks we are talking about, nothing can be quirkier than these geeky tissue boxes. They were created by the guys at Kanojo a while back, but they are just so cool that I couldn’t stop myself from posting about these geeky tissue boxes.
According to the creators, they got the idea from The Big Bang Theory. Who can forget that Rubik’s Cube tissue box? I think I saw that tissue box in a recent episode, but it probably was already shown in earlier seasons. Anyhow, this is the tissue box that started it all.
Cool concept, but you can find it practically everywhere these days.
Here’s another of those geeky tissue boxes, which will certainly take you back to the old days.
I don’t know about you, but that makes me want to hang it from the ceiling and jump up and down just for the heck of it.
Here are the geeky tissue boxes taken from another angle.
If you want to have a similar display at home, check out the instructions at Kanojo. If you suck at DIY, just do a search online, and for sure, you will find at least one that you can buy.
- I have been known to go into “panic mode” if only one extra roll is left. [↩]
