Movies R Fun
Every movie buff – no matter what degree your enthusiasm may be – will certainly attest to the fact that movies are fun. Sure, there are a lot of crappy movies out there that are not worth your time, but there are also more than a handful of movies that you will not mind watching over and over again.

Never mind that many movies are rated R. A little violence (and then some) does not hurt anyone, does it? In fact, even a Pixar illustrator thinks R-rated movie scenes can be tweaked enough to make them good enough for Pixar audiences. Maybe not, but Josh Cooley sure did an excellent job Pixarizing some of the most unforgettable movie scenes.

He put his work in a book titled “Movies R Fun”. Take a look at some of the illustrations contained in the book, and I am sure you will want to get your hands on a copy.

I probably shouldn’t be asking you if you recognized all the movies those “scenes” come from, but I will anyway: recognize all of them?

The book Movies R Fun is priced at only $35, and it is sold on Cooley’s web site. That’s the good part. The bad part is that the book is sold out, and there does not seem to be any news about when stock will be available. I have a pretty good feeling about new prints being made soon, though.

If you cannot wait for that, there is another option: individual prints of the illustrations. They’re more expensive, ranging from $25 to $50 a print, but I think they’re totally worth it. How often can you say you have prints of Pixarized Fight Club or Leon scenes?
