Are you a hardcore Assassin’s Creed fan? You may want to invest some extra coin in this Limited Edition of Assassin’s Creed III. Also: check out the latest trailer from the game.
In honor of July 4th, Ubisoft has announced the Assassin’s Creed III Limited Edition, which includes all sorts of high-end extras. They include:
- The game (duh)
- A 9.5″ statue of hero Connor Kenway
- An American flag with the Assassin’s logo incorporated
- An Assassin’s logo belt buckle
The Limited Edition will retail for $119.99.
There’s also a Digital Deluxe Edition coming for PC players, which includes lots of downloadable content. In addition to the game, you’ll also get single-player missions that culminate with finding useful and powerful items, such as the lost sword of Captain Kidd, a boarding ax, a Scottish flintlock, new outfits, multiplayer characters, and a soundtrack collection. The one physical item you receive with this edition is “George Washington’s notebook,” which presumably fills in some gaps from the game regarding Washington. The Digital Deluxe Edition will retail for $64.99.
These are, of course, not to be confused with the already-announced special editions of Assassin’s Creed III, which include the UbiWorkShop Edition, the Freedom Edition, the Join or Die Edition, and the GameStop Edition. The UbiWorkShop Edition comes with the game, the Assassin’s Creed Encyclopedia 2nd Edition, and a graphic novel called Assassin’s Creed Subject 4, which combines existing comic collections Assassin’s Creed The Fall and Assassin’s Creed The Chain. The Freedom Edition includes the Connor statue, George Washington’s notebook, an Alex Ross “Steelbook” and lithograph, two downloadable missions, and the “Sharpshooter” multiplayer character. The Join or Die Edition comes with the game, an Assassin medallion, George Washington’s notebook, one downloadable single-player mission pack, and the Sharpshooter multiplayer pack. The GameStop Edition comes with the game, and the two downloadable mission packs.
