It is not a carved pumpkin in the traditional sense, but Redditor wizardtlg‘s Fantastic Four’s The Thing creation is more fantastic than the movie ever was. And, you may correct me if you think otherwise, but this version of The Thing will probably scare the wits out of all the other carved pumpkins you see this Halloween.

So, what do you think?

A lot of thought went into the creation of Fantastic Four‘s The Thing, maybe translating to just how many pumpkins were used for the project. According to the creator, he needed 11 pumpkins (what size, he didn’t say), including the head.

Before he came up with the finished product, he started with this.

Unfortunately, Fantastic Four’s The Thing (pumpkin version) did not live to see Halloween 2012. I guess chopped up bits of pumpkin cannot withstand the elements, and they withered away. Of course, the creator and his friends couldn’t resist the urge of dismembering the superhero. With swords, an axe, and a large stick, some boys (and maybe girls) probably had a lot of fun bringing down the giant and turning him into this mess.
