The Ladies of Battlestar Galactica Get the Classical Painter Treatment

Just the other night, I was talking with an old friend about Battlestar Galactica. As “old” as the TV series is, we just don’t get tired talking about it. I don’t think we ever will. In fact, let me ask you: How did you feel after watching the final episode? Did you also feel as if a part of your life was over?

If you have not watched Battlestar Galactica, then go get the DVD/BD right now! You never know when you’re leaving this world, and if you keep putting it off, you might never get to see the greatest sci-fi TV series ever. If you have seen it, then get ready to shell out some money to get your hands on this poster set called “The Ladies of Battlestar Galactica”.

If your laptop is still working in spite of all the drool that has fallen on your keyboard, continue reading to find out more about these posters…

The artist goes by the name Megan Lara, and what she did was take four of the ladies of Battlestar Galactica following the styles of Gustav Klimt and John Singer Sargent. (Okay, I’m an ignoramus when it comes to this topic, so you probably know more about these painters than I do, especially since I know nothing.) Whatever those styles are, I think we can agree that these portrayals are excellent. Let’s take a closer look.

How to get your hands on these posters? ThinkGeek has the poster set on sale at 50% OFF! It will still cost you $17.49 (for all the prints) but somehow I think that’s not going to be an issue.

Oh, and I highly recommend visiting the artist’s page as she has some other awesome works of art. Whovians, don’t ignore this recommendation.
