Everyone seems to be
slightly obsessed concerned with health and fitness issues these days. I suppose one could say that it’s the in thing – from running to cross fit to trekking. Do geeks take part in this trend?
I am not so sure, but there certainly are health problems that may arise from living the geek lifestyle – if there even is such a thing. Assuming that the stereotype applies, there might indeed be cause for concern for those who follow the geek lifestyle.
Looking at the infographic that the people at Best Medical Degrees have created, the
paranoid careful person in me just had to rethink my lifestyle. While I am not a total couch potato slash hermit – I do go out once in a blue moon (to do groceries, eat sashimi, and check out the bookstore) – I have to admit that I could use more exercise.
In any case, if you have not paid attention to your health recently, maybe you want to take a look at this infographic. Call it reality check or wake up call – it’s better to have a virtual one rather than to actually find yourself in the hospital.
