If I had a dollar for every time I saw George R.R. Martin’s name affixed to a book that’s not part of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” series, I would have enough to…well, maybe buy something at Starbucks. But that’s not the point. I know you can’t dictate creativity and all that cr@p, but maybe, just maybe, if my second favorite fantasy author stopped being editor, curator, or whatnot of this book and that book, we’d all live to see the story of Westeros come to a close.
But again, that’s not the point of this post. Sorry, I ramble.
Reading makes an exact man, or something like that, so I suggest picking up “Dangerous Women”, a collection of original fiction by some of the best writers of our time. Yes, GRRM included.
If you do it now, you can save about $12 off the list price. That should be enough to ward off your frustration at not having anything to read after Dance with Dragons…
