Disney Mobile dies a Swift Death
Active for less than a year, Disney Mobile is the latest to call it quits in the mobile market. MVNOs like Disney Mobile seem to be having an extremely difficult time making it in the highly competitive world of wireless pay services, but sales must have been almost nothing for them to call it quits so quickly. Users of the service (both of you) are supposed to get ready to pack things up by Nov. 30th to ensure that they have time to port numbers. What’s most disappointing about the failure of this is that it seemed like a really good idea. It was a mobile service for tweens and Read more »
Poster for "Wolverine and the X-Men" animated series
Today, the first real look at “Wolverine and the X-Men”, a new animated Marvel series, has made its way online. It appears that the BBC has locked in to air the series in the UK, but there is no word on what station will run the series in the US – although Kid’s WB is a likely choice. The show is yet another adaption of the X-Men franchise in animated form, this time focusing on Wolverine – presumably because the Wolverine solo fiilm is in production. The designs for this series seem to be based heavily on the current Astonishing X-Men costumes. It will be interesting to see what direction Read more »
Zipit unleashes the Z2 – but will anyone use it?
Zipit has released a second version of their wireless messenger device, called the Z2. Essentially, this is a handheld that focuses soley on Instant Messengering. It works with AOL, Yahoo! and MSN – so you can hold multiple chats at once, and it also allows you to play music from the ‘net or an SD card with its My Tunez application, and view Photos with another app as well. At first I had a hard time figuring out just who is going to pay $149.99 for this thing. I still have a hard time with it – but I supposed the market for it could be kids? I don’t know. Read more »
Gateway Reveals "The One"
Gateway today officially revealed the “Gateway One”, their All-In-One PC that looks heavily inspired by the most recent iMac. Having said that – I’m not sure if it’s possible for them to have “ripped it off” so quickly. The iMac was just revealed a few weeks ago, and this machine has surely been in development for months. Keeping all Apple comparisons aside, the Gateway One is a nice looking machine. The retail line begins at $1,300 with a 1.5GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB of memory, a 320GB hard drive, and Intel X3100 graphics. The high-end model boosts speed to 2GHz, memory to 3GB, hard disk space to 500GB, and adds Read more »
Totally Rad Show Official Site Launches
I don’t do a lot of just promoting other sites around here, but I wanted to let everyone know about my favorite podcast’s official site launch. The Totally Rad Show has turned out to be the best podcast on the web, as far as I’m concerned. Each week I find myself switch over to my AppleTV to let these guys into my living room to let me know about all the Rad stuff that’ happening in Movies, Television, Video Games, and Comics. Today they launched an awesome looking official site – and as a bonus (for me anyway), they even linked to our sister blog, Apple Gazette – where you Read more »

I was the first one to spew hatred about the look of this show based on the first image Read more »
