Watchmen: Should I read the comic before seeing the movie?

Not sure whether this should go in the movies or comics forum so what the hell Im putting it here so I can be the first person to 'ask a geek'

I am pretty new to the Watchmen, I just downloaded the comic last week and have only read the first 2 issues so far but now that the movie is out (and looking awesome in the trailers!) Im wondering if I should finish the comic book first? I really want to enjoy the movie and if I have read the comic first then it will spoile the ending, but I suppose it's the same if I do it the other way round......

So what should I do???

Yup, read the comics first. Helps understanding most things and I agree with the choices about things they left out.

their both good, its a very close adaption so it doesn't matter that much, but the comic has all sorts of extras that the movie nods to.
