Akihabara Pedestrian Zone Returns

On January 23, 2011 the Akihabara pedestrian zone was reopened to the public, much to the delight of weekend Akiba goers. The Akiba pedestrian zone is an area of Chuo-dori, the main street of Akiba, that is blocked off from traffic on Sunday afternoons to allow more room for pedestrians to move about. On a regular day, you would find cosplayers, maids, and various performers out on the street, along with plenty of photographers.
