Skyrim Monopoly Board

It was bound to happen, wasn’t it? Gamers all over the world were bound to their chairs waiting for the video game to be released, and when it finally came out, those very gamers either went silent online (presumably glued to their HDTVs) or flooded their friends’ walls and Twitter streams with Skyrim-related posts. It was just a matter of time till someone came up with his own Skyrim Monopoly design. After all, we have seen all sorts of Monopoly variations, Mass Effect Monopoly and Fallout Monopoly, for example. Battleship Galaxies: A classic game with a futuristic twist

Battleship Galaxies: A classic game with a futuristic twist

I got what I wanted for Christmas. I’ve always been curious about a 2011 re-issue of Battleship but my mind was blown when Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast took the classic game I used to play when I was a kid and added a lot more depth into a foray in outer space. Battleship Galaxies: The Saturn Offensive is a tabletop miniature game that pulls you into a player vs player game of Battleship with a twist. Though it’s fit for two players, there are prepared scenarios for two teams for a total of four players. Sneak Peek: Futurama Monopoly

A tiny mockup of the Futurama Monopoly game box

A few days ago, the UPS man brought me an unexpected package. Here’s a complete photo gallery of what I found inside… Read more »

Scrabble is arguably one of the coolest board games in the world. I grew up playing Scrabble (and Boggle!) with the entire family on a regular basis, and even though I haven’t touched a real Scrabble board in ages, the thought of playing the game still fills me with excitement. There is, of course, the option of playing Scrabble on electronic devices such as the iPad, iPhone, and other similar gadgets. However, this option usually does not compare to the experience of the real thing. For one, you normally need two very devices in order to have a fulfilling game. Now what to do if you have an iPhone and Read more »

Cookie Fu – A Tasty Game

Cookie Fu – A Tasty Game

Cookie Fu “Grandmaster’s Return” is a simple and unique board game from game designer Blue Kabuto. The game has a Chinese food and martial arts theme, and more interestingly, comes with actual fortune cookies that you can eat. To get started, all you need is a friend to play with and a clan pack for each person. Each clan pack looks like a Chinese take-out box and contains a rulebook, 5 dice, and a fortune cookie. There are three clans in the game: Chocolate Ox, Vanilla Hare, and Coconut Monkey, each of which has their own special skills and moves. In a basic game, players roll a Clan Fortune die and Read more »
