This year they started the production of the Koenigsegg Agera R, which is very much inspired by the Mach 5.

The original cartoon Mach 5 was the best race car of its time. For me the Batmobile is more of stunt and gadget car than a race car. There is only one Mach 5 and it has always been an awesome race car.

Koenigsegg has yet to release a price of the Agera R, it won’t be cheap but I’m guessing a lot of geeks who loved Speed Racer and now have a hefty bank account will consider this car.

A few highlights of the Agera R specifications:

• Acceleration: 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) 2.9 seconds
• Lateral g-force: 1.6 g
• Engine: Koenigsegg aluminum 5,0L V8, 4 valves per cylinder, double overheadcamshafts

Cars are not my favorite objects but I can appreciate a nice car. I love watching all car shows on the Discovery channel, which is where the little car knowledge I have comes from. I hope some day I get to see the Agera R life. I can already hear Speed Racer’s theme song playing in my head just by looking at the photos.

It displays 15 common knots, but instead of using rope it uses various bits of iPhone cabling, including the headphones, dock and USB connectors.

Are you a lucky person who has never had a pair of headphones tie themselves up in knots? It tends not to happen with more expensive headphones with slightly thicker wires, but smaller earbuds and thinner wires always seem to get caught up in themselves, no matter how carefully they’re put away.

Ford’s point is that Bluetooth comes with every new Ford car. While this isn’t Ford’s only ad, it’s interesting that the influence of the iPod is so strong that it has deemed it worthwhile to make a point of it.

I rarely use my original iPhone buds any more, and I’ve got one of those little clips that you can wrap the wire around to stop it getting tied up. I don’t recall my cabling ever getting tied up quite as neatly or as identifiably as the pics in the ad.

Teaming up with Toyota Belgium, two typographers used the Toyota iQ car to drive out each letter, digit and piece of punctuation.

Attaching four colored dots to the roof of the car, these were tracked by a computer and created in Open Frameworks.

My regular GPS unit just tells me when to turn and when to just drive a straight line… I see here that the Navigon 7300T with Scenic Routes. This is the KING of all GPS features so far!

It’s good to note that we, again, have technology to the rescue. A rechargeable powerful flashlight that plugs into your lighter socket. I’d call it plug-and-forget UNTIL you actually need to use it. Spotlight is equipped withbright LED light bulb, too bright to assure you find whatever you’d like to get at in the car. I’d probably put some sort of covering on the other end and let my mouth hold it for a while as I try to look under the hood. It would be great though if this had an arm, head or neck attachment for ease of use too.
