Bruce Campbell will be officiating at this years ZomBCon, but not the entire convention, rather a wedding for two lucky convention going nerds. Comic Con looms
The biggest event of the year in the comics social calendar is peeking over the horizon. And no that’s not as oxymoronic as it sounds, comics are are cool now, right? Right? The boards are already abuzz with talk of Cosmic/Galactic/Space Avengers, the teaser images of the return of the Black Lanterns (waaaaaaaaaay too soon if you ask me, if that’s even real and not just a Halloween cover) and in the process missing some really cool news. Comics without copyright?
I had been thinking the past few days about copyright in regard to comics, what with the successes of Dynamite with Project Superpowers and the Black Terror, even as the original Daredevil also appears in the pages of the Savage Dragon and had been a background staple in the pages of FemForce. There have also been hints of characters mentioned in JSA history that I think have fallen into the public domain, such as the The Spider int he lead up to the first appearance in that tile of the King Of Tears.
