I’m quite a fan of the Pacemaker portable digital DJ system, though I haven’t got my hands on one yet, but it seems as if many people are just as much a fan of the web site where people can share their mixes as they are of the hardware. Are you a budding DJ? I remember taking every opportunity I had, regardless of what hardware or even music I had around me, to create “proper” mix tapes and voiceovers. I’ve even DJed a few private parties, though I’m certainly no Armin Van Buuren. Next generation of Pacemaker makes it even easier to be your own DJ
Last year, Tonium caused quite a stir with its Pacemaker portable digital music DJing system, particularly as it was initially quite difficult to get hold of it. Well, now it’s 2009 and the second generation Pacemaker is less than a month away. This one will contain a 60GB hard drive for music storage, plus a range of features including auto beatmatching, on-screen “beat graph”, timestretching, key changing, a range of new effects including crush, wah, delay and trans, plus fast scrolling and improved track listings.
