Even though the first Amazon Kindle was released in November 2007 it was last year that e-book readers became hugely popular. The Amazon Kindle success spurred on other companies like Sony to invest more on their e-book readers line and even a non-tech company albeit bookstore “Barnes & Noble” to release their own e-book reader instead of closing a contract with a brand name company to sell Barnes & Noble e-book readers. Iriver "Libre" E-Reader
Iriver Japan is soon to release their version of an e-book reader, this to quickly provide something to the Asian market as the Kindle 2.0 is still undistributed there. e-book reader alternatives
with my current obsession with e-books I’m now constantly on the lookout for good e-readers as well as devices that can be a good vehicle for my e-books. I’ve used my trusty Asus EEE PC for reading e-books up until a few days ago. It was a very good gadget for a reader especially if you use a small app that would turn the screen from landscape to portrait, you then have to turn the book to its side, much like a book.
