Smileys or emoticons – whatever you want to call them, they have proliferated everyday communication the world over. From text lingo to chat lingo to e-mail – emoticons are the rave these days. Perhaps because they transcend language barriers, emoticons are use by practically everyone. Then again, there are those who have had enough of these “cute” little things. I can name a LOT of people who would call you out for using emoticons in your e-mails.
