Summer will be here before you know it, and it’ll be time to break out the t-shirts and those oh-so-trendy plaid shorts. And what goes better with shorts than flip-flops?

And what could possibly scream geek louder than these keyboard flops?

Imported from Thailand, you are looking at “Kito Keyboard 2.0,” a pair of rubber-soled footwear that supposedly massages your feet with key-shaped “nubs.” They’re a bit oversized, looking not unlike snow shoes when worn. And they’re available to purchase here, for $29 in a variety of sizes and colors. Definitely pricier than your standard pair of flip-flops, but for a novelty item, it’s not bad. Plus, the store selling them offers free international shipping.

The Roc Nation Aviator headphone is clearly retro inspired and totally drool worthy.

I was never really into Skullcandy headphones as they targeted the teenagers and fans of the rock genre in my opinion. So I never really stood still in the store and give them a second look. With the collaboration with Roc Nation they are expanding to a whole other audience and hopefully more headphones will come out of this collaboration.

If I was still hearing I would totally buy an Aviator headphone, I’m a sucker for modern gadgets with a retro look. They come in black, white and brown of which I really like the black one. The brown would do too if it wasn’t combined with gold. Plus Aviator can be folded and stored in a case, perfect for carrying around in my canvas bag with camera and books without it being damaged.

Release date is set in June, no mention of the price yet but if I must take a wild guess I would say they will cost between $200 and $300. If the headphones turn out to be of sturdy quality it’s money well spend. I will be keeping an eye out to see when they are in shops here next month.

You can go with geeky/kid by getting animal earbuds, these are earbuds with animals on the outside so it looks like there are animals sticking out of your ears. There are a total of seven styles of which one is not an animal but a diamond or in other words, bling bling. I’m not sure I would want to be caught walking around using these earbuds, I already look young for my age, these earbuds would make it more obvious.

If you also want more sound quality then you have to go with UrbanEars which are totally retro looking. The UrbanEars has a remote and microphone on it that is compatible with the iPhone and other phones. While with earbuds you can easily let a friend listen with you by sharing one of the earbuds, the UrbanEars have a “Zound plug”. This plug lets your friends plugin their own headphones into your earcap to listen along.

I like the UrbanEars more, they are simple, retro(they remind me of “That 70′s Show”) and actually functional. The animal earbuds costs 15 dollars while the UrbanEars costs 68 dollars. Whichever your preference the choices of headphone styles are endless.

Well, just in case you are indeed wondering, let’s take a look at this quirky summer accessory that you might want to leave at home when you hit the beach in the summer. While the cap looks just like any other baseball cap, the solar powered fan hat aims to keep you cool during the hot summer months. It does so with the small fan attached to the middle of the bill, which has a built-in hole. The dumb ingenious design is such that the fan blows air right onto your forehead. (If you’re wearing contact lenses, I have this feeling that they will dry right off of your eyes and fall out.)
