iBook G4 becomes wall clock
Hey, Greenpeace, stick this idea in your pipe and smoke it. The older Apple notebook computers may not have been the most environmentally friendly on the planet, but some resourceful types have created a functional timepiece from their defunct iBook G4 instead of just chucking it on the scrapheap. All in all I think it’s fair to say that the 2000s was a good decade for Apple. The Steve Jobs-led Cupertino-based company pushed out a number of products, and while not all were raging commercial successes, they all exuded that certain “Appleness” that fanboys love and competitors try not to admit to but are secretly green with envy about. iMac G4 immortalized in LEGO
It’s impossible to run out of things to try and build from LEGO. In this case, Bjarne Tveskovs built a scale model of his beloved Apple iMac G4 from LEGO and a seven inch photoframe that can show photos, play movies and display TV pictures. He says that there’s no actual Apple hardware inside the iMac G4 Junior at present. Much of the base is simply a weight because the photo frame is quite heavy. Read more »
