Here Comes Aliens: Colonial Marines
Gearbox Software — the creators of Borderlands, and the folks behind the Duke Nukem Forever rescue — is working on an original Aliens game, titled Aliens: Colonial Marines, set in the universe of the popular film franchise. You’ll go head-to-head against those unloveable Xenomorphs (the titular alien creatures) in claustrophobic environments for some good old fashioned jump-out-and-scare-you FPS thrills. Duke Nukem Forever Coming May 3rd
“When it’s done” is here. At last. For years — more than a decade, in fact — that three-word phrase was always the answer for when we fans might finally get our grubby little fingers on the sequel to Duke Nukem 3D. Of course, we all know what happened during all that time. It’s a long, sordid story that involves Gearbox Software rescuing the game from original publisher 3D Realms’ bankruptcy, and frankly I’m tired of telling it. Hail to the King, Baby! Duke Nukem Lives!
The rumors were true! Gearbox Software has taken over development of Duke Nukem Forever on behalf of Take 2 Interactive, and hope to have the game out sometime in 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The news was officially announced at PAX, the open-to-the-public gaming expo which is taking place as I write this. Read more »
