Google Doodle Finder

In case you didn’t know this yet, yes, there is a way to access the old Google Doodles. Just visit the Doodle Finder, and you can search all the Doodles to your heart’s content.

Now what if you can go one step further and have a Google Doodle displayed proudly across your chest? A wearable Google Doodle, so to speak. I don’t know about you, but one of the most impressive Doodles for me was the one created for Robert Bunsen’s birthday. In spite of the fact that Chemistry was never my best subject, I did enjoy that Doodle. How do you feel about the prospect of receiving (or giving) something like this for the holidays?

Of course, you cannot expect the interactive Doodles to behave as they do online, but the idea is still an attractive one! Atomic Symbol Pendant

It’s never too early to get your Christmas shopping done, especially if some of my friends can be believed. As usual, I have not gotten around to it, but something caught my eye today, and maybe you’ll be interested in these geeky accessories that will do any male or female proud. Last year, I discovered Boutique Academia for the first time, and I fell in love with their pendants. I still am yearning for the Pi pendant and the Fibonacci pendant, and I can only hope that I have been a good enough girl so that Santa will pay me a visit this year.

Obviously, this wedding cake was made for a geek couple. If you think those 1s and 0s were placed randomly, think again. The sequence is supposed to be code – a message for each other. Since we can’t really see the entire cake in the photo, we can only guess what geeky sloppiness the numbers stand for.

Using eco-friendly canvas bags is the all the rage these days. I actually just did some grocery shopping the other day and had to get one of those supermarket ones. Here’s the good news: this clock actually exists. You can buy it on Amazon. Here’s the bad news: it’s out of stock. Still, this clock deserves to be mentioned. Not only is the concept cool – do some addition in binary to come up with the time – but it actually does look good in my opinion.

We all know about the t-shirt “There are only 10 types of people in this world…”, don’t we? Here is a pin from Zazzle that adds a twist. Now don’t tell me that didn’t make you laugh! Get the pin for only $5.95.

There are binary shirts, and there are binary shirts – if you know what I mean. How about learning how to count in binary rather easily? Now doesn’t that shirt remind you of a certain video? Get this shirt for $16.99 at ThinkGeek.

Binary Onesie

You’ve got to start them young, don’t you? What better way to do that with your baby (or niece or nephew, or whatever) than to get one of these onesies? I have to say that this is one of the best binary accessories I have seen so far. CafePress Australia has them for AUD 16.00.

At Tokyo Flash Japan, you can find a host of watches that are not your run-of-the-mill watches. Check out the Kisai Joypad LED Watch, for example.

And how the heck can you tell the time? You need to touch the upper right button for the “numbers” to display the time. The hours are placed in the same manner as a regular watch and are displayed as numbers. The minutes are displayed in the inner ring, in groups of five minutes, and single minutes are also displayed in the center column. Here is the diagram to help you.

The Kisai Satellite Black LED Watch is sleeker in design, but no less interesting.

This display is a tad easier to read. The largest circle reflect the hours. The circle at the lower left shows minutes in groups of five, and the lower right circle shows four single minutes. Here’s a sample time reading.

Here’s the last of my pick – the RPM LED Watch. It is the simplest of the three, and I think the most striking as well.

As with the other watches, the display is divided into three zones – the hours, minutes in groups of five, and single minutes. Check out the diagram for a sample.

Summer will be here before you know it, and it’ll be time to break out the t-shirts and those oh-so-trendy plaid shorts. And what goes better with shorts than flip-flops?

And what could possibly scream geek louder than these keyboard flops?

Imported from Thailand, you are looking at “Kito Keyboard 2.0,” a pair of rubber-soled footwear that supposedly massages your feet with key-shaped “nubs.” They’re a bit oversized, looking not unlike snow shoes when worn. And they’re available to purchase here, for $29 in a variety of sizes and colors. Definitely pricier than your standard pair of flip-flops, but for a novelty item, it’s not bad. Plus, the store selling them offers free international shipping.

I love this Kito commercial from Thailand. Its humor transcends the language barrier.

I discovered Fantasy Factory the other day, and I couldn’t help but think how cool it would be to have one of their door skins. This company just might have the answer to the geek fantasy of having his very own Star Trek Holodeck themed door like the one below. Basically, they create skins that can be stuck on standard doors that can be found in most homes. They sell kits which include covering for the door panel and the door trim molding.

If Star Trek is not your thing, then maybe this Tardis door will do the trick?

They have a lot of other designs available on their web site, but sadly, there is only a handful in the Sci-Fi category. Take your pick from:

• Avatar-inspired door theme
• Space shuttle door
• Star Wars-inspired Falcon door theme
• Resident Evil Umbrella Corp door theme

These kits sell for a hefty $350 each – painted.  If you want to save $150, you can get the unpainted version and exercise your creativity while you’re at it.  If that is not enough of a challenge for you, you can get the most basic theme – labeled Sci-Fi Themed Door Decor Unpainted – for $95.

Just the other day, I discovered a page on Facebook dedicated to this addictive game – Tetris Jewelry. These colorful pendants are really cute. Whether you’re at the beach or out in town, they will suit you just fine.

If you change the necklace, you can even wear this piece for a not-so-informal party!

They also have some Tetris rings, which ought to be great conversation pieces – not to mention that they will look great with practically anything.

Guys, before you scoff and discount this page altogether, you ought to know that they also feature items that are designed specially for you!

Lately, though, I have been noticing dresses and thinking that maybe, it’s about time to get my hands on some. Stumbling across this Tetris dress just might be the sign that I have been waiting for! I know it may not be “glam” for the fashionistas, but I think that it’s just perfect.

Now as I said, I am no fashion expert, but I think that the shape of the dress has an understated look, making it just right for those who do not want to turn too many heads. That will not matter much, though, as I think that the tetris design will definitely turn every head in the vicinity! I also like the touch of the neckline as it is not too low but low enough to show what some geek girls are hiding underneath those comfy shirts! ;)
