At today’s Apple keynote event, Epic Games showed up to tease a new game they’re working on called Project Sword. Showing off some of the 3D gameplay the game will make possible, using Epic’s Unreal Engine (the same game engine used for Gears of War, Mass Effect, and more), they’ve made a free app available to download from iTunes. It’s called “Epic Citadel,” and it’s basically a FPS-style 3D castle/village environment for you to wander around in and take a look at what the Unreal engine can do on iPod, iPhone, or iPad. Dissection goes virtual
In college, we had to dissect a baby pig. The smell was so strong that to this day the scent of cold ham turns my stomach. Too bad we didn’t have this. DC Comics Go Digital, Invade Apple Devices Everywhere
DC Comics entered the 21st Century today, announcing a new iPhone/iPad/iPod App that’s available for immediate free download from the App Store. While the application is free, comic book downloads will run users anywhere from $.99 to $2.99 per issue. However you can try out the application with a free few selections including Batman: Black & White. The app also includes offerings from Wildstorm and Vertigo. As Comics Alliance points out, paying the same price for a digital print as you will for a collectible paper print probably won’t make sense to serious comic book collectors and is meant more for casual readers.
