Then I heard about The Paradox, which seems to be another cool option for those looking for Nano cases. It’s a new project by a guy called Kunal Sheth, and it basically turns the iPod Nano into a watch – not much unlike the Hex Strap and every other similar piece of accessory out there. However, it seems that The Paradox is taking things to a different level but actually paying attention to some of the elements that watch enthusiasts like.

For one, instead of mere silicon or rubber, The Paradox makes use of a stainless steel enclosure – not just any kind of stainless steel, but the high quality kind. You can choose between the regular stainless steel finish or a black stainless steel finish. The thing is, the straps are still made of silicon, but they are interchangeable. I think it would have been better if the straps were made of steel as well, but that would probably have kicked the prices up considerably. As it is, Kunal is already looking for pledges to help him launch the project.

There is, however, a limited edition Titanium Paradox that has a leather strap. The pledge for this will cost $299, though. Compared to the $69 pledge for the regular kit, it is a bit pricey. Here’s a video to see more of The Paradox.

Even gadget manufacturers go out of their way to further the cause (of course, we know that money is still somehow involved in all this), and come up with special edition pink versions of their products. I wouldn’t recommend going as far as buying a pink laptop if you are not really into pink (confession: I DID buy a pink MSI Wind because I wanted the netbook and it was not available in any other color.) Here are some things that I would recommend, though, if only to show your support.

The most persistent rumor are revamped iPod models. Details are sketchy about any new features or improvements to the line but one thing is certain, the actual look will change.

Already, there are a lot of purported pictures and drawings about the redesigns with the iPod Nano being the most frequent example given. Based on both concept drawings and (gasp!) leaked accessories pictures, the new Nano will be rectangular in shape and will have a portrait screen. It actually looks quite similar to the new generation Microsoft Zune.

I myself am looking forward to any news about the iPod Touch. I’m itching for an upgrade to my old fifth-gen iPod and I want to consider the Touch, but only if it bumps up the storage capacity to 60gb or more.
