I am so going to have nightmares about this. You know that traveling anatomy exhibit called Body Worlds, where you can look up close at human bodies that have been preserved (and posed) using a process called plastination? (Plastination is achieved by replacing water and fat in the body with special plastics.) My wife and I went to see the exhibit in Charlotte a few years back, which unfortunately turned out to be a bad idea since she was pregnant with our first child at the time. But that’s another story. Disney believes that the look of Tron: Legacy is the future of fashion accessorizing, and is ready to make the future today. Hence, this collection of fine jewelry and couture inspired by the movie. Disney Consumer Products has partnered with high-end designers like Rousseau, Hayden-Harnett, Rotenier and TomTom to create what they call “luxury accessories for women,” many of which are based on the look of Tron‘s female lead, Quorra (played by actress Olivia Wilde). I am not a fan of jewelry. I know that it is uncommon for women not to love jewelry and other accessories but my internal wiring must have a short somewhere because when people say “accessories,” I normally think of add-ons for my electronic babies.
