…why not grab some pink gadgets this month and join a worthy cause? I know I keep saying that I do not like the color pink, but for some reason, I keep running across this color. If you do not know yet, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it is usually commemorated with the color pink. Even gadget manufacturers go out of their way to further the cause (of course, we know that money is still somehow involved in all this), and come up with special edition pink versions of their products. Etsy is home to all things handmade — both kooky and wondrous. Here’s one that could be either, depending on your love of plastic building blocks. An Etsy seller called “openandclose” has made available a set of stickers for your MacBook keyboard that resemble LEGO bricks. Specifically, the tops of LEGO bricks, where the studs are. After applying the stickers — which will run you $15 for the set — these faux-studs are where you’ll find the letters, numbers, and punctuation marks on your keyboard. Everyone’s favorite Sith Lord (like you were going to vote for someone else?) is now available in cuddly, cute, Hello-Kitty fashion with these new skins by Infectious. Dubbed the “pink.invader,” this skin is available in several different sticky flavors, for your lappy, iPod, iPhone, BlackBerry, or Trapper-Keeper notebook. Alright, we made that last one up, but only because our Trapper Keeper had Optimus Prime on it, and it doesn’t get much more badass than that. So what else is new? After Apple announced new Macbooks and Macbook Pros a few days ago, reports are that the new models are running out of stock in Apple stores all over the world. I think Apple fanatics are immune to the global financial crisis (of which I am a recent victim). Needless to say, the new Macbooks do look nifty especially with the glass multi-touch trackpad and the seamless glass display. The Nvidia graphics chip is also a welcome addition especially for Mac gamers.
