This is without a doubt the craziest thing you will see all day. Someone has created a mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that substitutes dragons with My Little Pony. Read more »

When Batman Meets Dr. Seuss
Mashups are almost always fun, aren’t they? As you may very well know, we at ForeverGeek have a thing for mashups. At least the ones that are awesomely done. And speaking of awesome, I just discovered a Deviant Artist who goes by name DrFaustusAU. This guy is doing his fellow Aussies proud with his artwork, and if you are a fan of Batman, you definitely will like to see this artist’s take on what would happen if Dr. Seuss put his touch on the popular comic series. This guy’s work speaks for itself. It is a case of words will really do no justice to the wonderfully wacky images that Read more »

Mario Brothers and Classic WWF Wrestlers Mashup
Mario Brothers and Classic WWF Wrestlers. If you get even remotely excited at the prospect of seeing a mashup featuring these two, then you are probably from the same era I am. I still remember being thoroughly excited by the prospect of playing Super Mario with my cousins – a rare treat allowed by my parents during summer vacation. Equally as exciting was wrestling night. Every now and then, my parents would allow me and my sister to watch WWF at a friend’s house. In my eyes, those events were BIG. Today, I can’t believe how much I got suckered into that farce, but then again, I have to admit Read more »

When Game of Thrones and The Muppets Collide
The first season of The Game of Thrones has just ended, with fans raving about the finale. As can be expected, viewers already have their personal favorites – characters they love and characters they hate. All sorts of infographics, guides, flow charts, and what have you about the Game of Thrones can be found online, but this set of mashups takes the cake. Characters from the HBO version of Game of Thrones have been “muppetized”. Now that is hard to beat, isn’t it? There are times when I just loathe Cersei, but there are rare moments (at least when reading the book, that I somehow understand why she thinks/behaves in Read more »
Going (Pea)nuts Over Doctor Who
Here’s another amusing mashup for you guys. This time, it’s for those of you who cannot get enough of Doctor Who. Now I don’t know if people who are into Doctor Who are the same types who like Peanuts, but Larry Wentzel obviously thinks there is something about putting them together. He says “I imagine after the 11th Doctor was put in the Pandorica, the villains broke out into a little celebratory dance. Apologies to Charles Schulz and the Peanuts characters.” He sure has a rich imagination, and I don’t think that Charles Schulz and the Peanuts characters would mind this depiction. Not at all. Me, I think the characters Read more »
Cinemart: Brilliant Mashups of Art and Cinema
I think that the need to mix two different things has always been part of human nature. The innate curiosity that is within all of us – this is what has led to the popularity of mashups. Whether you think about cartoon characters being placed in another setting or two different movies being put together – the concept behind mashups will always be something interesting. The execution, however, is a totally different story. Sometimes, you have brilliant mashup ideas that don’t exactly impress when put into paper (or digital screen). In the case of artist Fernando Degrossi, both idea and execution are definitely impressive. He uses the term “cinemart” to Read more »
