Going to the opera is not everyone’s cup of tea, but this new opera being showcased in The Hague (Netherlands) just might make even the staunchest “opponents” of opera go watch it. Dubbed “u,” the opera is the first production ever to be sung completely in an alien language. Foreign language enthusiast, are you? If Women Were Browsers Infographic
You’ve certainly noticed the infographics that Darice has been posting on the site regularly, and I have to say that she has opened up a whole new world for me. Sometimes, I find myself reading infographics for an hour – that’s saying a lot as my attention span is rather short. Microsoft forced to offer Europeans choice of browsers
From today, millions of Europeans who use Windows will be given the choice of whether to switch their default browser from Internet Explorer to one of eleven others. It follows a lengthy legal battle in Europe which has seen Microsoft accused of anti-competitive behaviour because it bundles Internet Explorer with the Windows operating system. This means that many computer users don’t realise there are alternative browsers available — amusing given that many users don’t really appreciate what a ‘browser’ really is.
