I think we all just need to accept the fact, right now, that we will be overtaken by robots at some point. First, they will take our jobs. Then, they will disguise themselves as us and steal our spouses. Then, they shall tear off their fake skin and distend their jaws to swallow our infants whole, the same way a snake would a small fawn. Anyone who thinks evil A.I will not take over the world is living in a constant state of denial, and they will most certainly be the first ones digested by our neo metal Gods. I, for one, embrace our new robotic overlords with open arms. I know my role. Here are 6 movies featuring evil A.I that are really just glimpses into the future. All hail the robots, our kind overseers and speakers of only truth!
I can still recall the EXACT feelings of jubilation I had while seeing Terminator 2 in the movie theater as a teen. That movie blew my mind, and I had to go see it multiple times on the big screen just to process how amazing it was. But since that entry, seems the Terminator franchise has taken a serious swan dive, face first, and looks to continue that with the newest entry in this series, Terminator Genisys. Hell, even that misspelled name makes me want to punch someone in the T-800. But honestly, this looks like the entry that will finally cause the Terminator to ‘jump the shark.’ If you do not know what that term means, just click on the link and learn (but side note, as a true geek, you SHOULD know). Here are 5 reasons the new Terminator movie looks like it will kill the franchise, once and for all.
Maybe it’s our strange sense of humor, but these emo paintings of popular geeky icons made me giggle. They’re strangely adorable and definitely amusing so I don’t know what that says about me. Artist JSalvador calls this series the SuperEmoFriends and you’ll probably go “Aww…” before launching into a giggle fit or wanting to give them all a hug. Some very violent and bad-ass characters actually look–dare we say it?–cute.
By the way, spoiler alert for an important part in Spiderman’s canon. It’s been decades, but hey. Better to be safe than suffer the wrath of spoiler-sensitive fans.

Fresh off her star-making turn as Daenerys Targaryen, Khaleesi of the Dothraki, on “Game of Thrones,” Emilia Clarke has just won the coveted role of Sarah Connor in the reboot of the Terminator franchise. Clarke thus follows the footsteps of original actress Linda Hamilton from the first two Terminator movies, and fellow GoT star Lena Headey, who played Connor in the short-lived “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” which ran for two seasons. Could the Khaleesi possibly ask Headet a.k.a. Cersei Lannister, for advice on the role?
For those who haven’t seen Headey as Connor, check out out on Rediscovering Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
The Angry Birds have taken over the world. I don’t know when it happened exactly, but it’s done. It’s their world, we just live in it. I present as evidence: 20 awesomely clever Angry Birds mashups.
You may get a Terminator vibe from Ruin, a new short film from indie animation studio Oddball Animation. But don’t worry — this is anything but a rip-off. It’s one of the coolest animated films I’ve ever seen. [Read more…]
Is there any more decadent or geekier-than-thou way of expressing your superiority than by constructing your very own themed cinema at home? These ten home theaters are so over the top, they’ve obliterated the top.
And you know you want one.
On April 19th at 8:11 PM, Skynet was supposed to become aware. In the Terminator franchise that day is known as Judgment Day, when the machines turns against us. On April 19th Judgment Day didn’t come obviously. Twitter though was buzzing with the fact that they day had arrived. I’m sure the die hard fans secretly hoped it would happen, just for the fascination of time travel. Sheldon Cooper even added a Skynet clause to the roommate agreement with Leonard specifying about when one friend needs help to destroy an artificial intelligence he’s created and that’s taking over Earth.
As a fan of the Matrix franchise I also wonder sometimes if we live in a computer program, I guess that comes with being a geek.
