Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You will never lose weight if you do not eat a proper breakfast. You need breakfast to build up energy to get you through the day. We’ve all heard those platitudes. If you live with your parents, then you probably still hear them on a daily basis. If you struggle with breakfast, I am totally with you. It is difficult to get up in the morning – even more difficult to chow down breakfast when you are barely awake. Your best bet? Some cereal. To add a little more motivation, throw in some of these cereal box designs by Ian Glaubinger. Read more »

Every Image From the Opening of The Big Bang Theory
I don’t know about you, but I definitely felt the absence of The Big Bang Theory last week. True, I was away and couldn’t have watched the show if they had aired anyway, but I still felt off not having my weekly TBBT fix. Luckily for me – and every other TBBT addict enthusiast out there – some guy didn’t have an Internet connection for a week and didn’t have anything else to do. Tell me honestly – do you sit through the intro of the show every time you watch it or do you skip the intro? Here’s my confession for the week – I sit through it every Read more »
Get Your Hands on These Iron-On Star Wars Decals
Children of the 80s will probably remember the days when DIY was the thing. There were no stores – online or otherwise – that sold ready made shirts with cool designs. These days, you simply have to visit your favorite online store and pick shirts: The Big Bang Theory, Star Trek, Star Wars – name it, you’ve got it! While there is that convenience factor, there is something to be said about creating things for yourself. That’s where iron-on t-shirt decals come into the picture. Read more »
Meet David Saltzberg: The Real Physicist Behind TBBT
For a while there, The Big Bang Theory seemed to lose just a little bit of its extraordinary humor. As much as I love the TV series, I thought that Season 3 was not as funny as the first two. Then came Season 4. I think many of you will agree that it is the funniest of all the four seasons. In any case, we all know who the four geeks are. We all know about their girlfriends, or “girl/friend” in Sheldon’s case. But, how many of us know about the guys behind the scientific quips in the show? While I am sure that a good number of you would Read more »
Wishing for An Extra Pair of Hands? Get the Universal Gripper
Have you ever had those moments when you wished you had an extra pair of hands? I think everyone has had that experience at least once in his life. I know Wolowitz did! For the sake of those who have not seen that TBBT season 4 episode, I will not divulge details any further. Let me give you this quote as a teaser, though (not verbatim, based on memory): Nurse: Where is the rest of the robot? Wolowitz: I only made the arm/hand. Nurse: Oh, because that is all that you need, isn’t it? Now go watch that episode – you won’t regret it! This is not about TBBT, though. Read more »
The Woz to Appear on The Big Bang Theory
Fun, fun, fun! Yesterday, Steve Wozniak’s Facebook status was “What’s it like to film an episode of Big Bang Theory? I’ll let you know tonight, but not what the episode is about.” Now you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to get the message – he is making an appearance in what is arguably the most fun geek show on television today. This does not come as a surprise as The Woz is not exactly new to the TV scene. Who can forget his stint on Dancing with the Stars? While he received some of the harshest criticism as he tried to keep up with the rest of the Read more »
Why Dr. Sheldon Cooper Is My Kind Of Geek
The latest season of The Big Bang Theory has been over for a bit now, so I have to be content with “re-runs” and reading up on the TV show instead. While I usually like to be non-conformist in my choices, I cannot deny that Dr. Sheldon Cooper is the best geek out there today – much like millions of other viewers. But why exactly is Sheldon my favorite geek on TV? Read more »
i5023: The Chinese Version Of The Big Bang Theory?
Do you remember that episode of The Big Bang Theory where the boys were playing with controlling their lights and then the some guys from Szechuan Province, China ended up controlling the lights in Sheldon’s apartment? (For reference, this is episode 9 of season 1: The Cooper-Hofstadter Polarization.) The Chinese geeks were what came to mind when I found out about a group of four young men from Fudan University; and unlike the characters in the TV series, these guys are for real. Wang Xinyu, Xu Jian, Zhang Kan, and Lu Yuanda have become celebrities in their country and have even been dubbed as the “Chinese Big Bang Theory” guys. Read more »
Bang! An Illustration About The History of Everything
Now a days people’s entertainment knowledge is given more credit then their science knowledge. Even though it would be better to know how our universe was created then to know all funny quotes of a certain geeky TV show. I’m first to say that I need to beef up my knowledge of relevant things rather then filling my brains with information that won’t make it in any school books in the future. Most of us geeks are fans of the TV show The Big Bang Theory but until recently I could only tell you that the Big Bang was an explosion that created matter and existence. The details where beyond Read more »
Off screen The Big Bang Theory quips
My love for “The Big Bang Theory” just grew a little bit more thanks to Wil Wheaton. Do you know what you get when a geek plays on a geek TV show? Non-scripted offline stories or comics that keep you entertained until the next episode airs. My level of geekyness is not high enough to be familiar with Wil Wheaton, it is thanks to The Big Bang Theory that I learned about him. And since his last guest stint as Evil Wil Wheaton I found his blog with an entry detailing all behind the scene events when he guest starred on the show. Best of all he had a photo Read more »
