3D-Printed Rubber Band Gatling Gun: Big Toy for the Not-So-Little Boys
Remember those days of playing with rubber band guns? Back then, a clothespin pistol did the trick. If you were lucky, you had one that had more than one clothespin so that the gun could fire more than one rubber band.
But, things change, and in this case, for the better. No, for the awesome.
Instructables member mdavisgtm has made The Arcus, a fully 3D-printable rubber band Gatling gun, which will bombard your target with 48 rubber bands in a few seconds. That should be enough to give you time to find cover. Not sure about reloading, though.
The Arcus isn’t the only rubber band Gatling gun, but it does have a couple of things going for it.
One, it uses the force from the rubber bands being propelled to spin the barrels.
Two, it is worn on your arm. A Gatling gun on your arm. Shooting rubber bands. How cool is that?
Check out The Arcus in action, and I am pretty sure you’ll be wanting to make one yourself.
If you’ve been looking for the ultimate reason to buy a 3D printer, you’ve got one now.
