6 Video Game Glitches That Are Too Funny For Words
Can we please take a moment to talk about how effing awesome video glitches are? Keep in mind, when they break a game or keep you from finishing it, they are inexcusable (coughs, Bethesda, coughs). But in most cases, the glitches we get in modern gaming end up being a small coding glitch that ends up being purely superficial. A glitch that makes a characters skin disappear from their face, for instance. Or a glitch where the ocean parts as if might Moses himself were spitting verses at it. In those instances, game glitches are great, because they crack us up. They are a break from the seriousness of gaming and allow us a moment to laugh at hilarious imperfection. Though there are many wonderful glitches out and about in the interwebz, these 6 video game glitches kind of take the cake. Oh wait, there is no cake. Just kidding, there was a cake the whole time. You, as a geek, should know that by now.
Red Dead Redemption: Donkey Demon Lady
Red Dead, although one of the greatest games ever made, had a problem in its coding early on. Sometimes the game could not differentiate between the animations of the NPC humans and the NPC animals. This would sometimes cause the game to melt two things from the game into one abomination.
This is pretty much one of the most famous video game glitches of all time, and with good reason. She’s scary as HELL!
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Moses Is Back Again
There is nothing quite like witnessing the majesty of nature in real life. But in real life, the likelihood of seeing something as straight up strange as this glitch is set at “never gonna happen.” Another one of those video game glitches everyone knows about and laughs about.
Nothing quite like seeing your favorite ship in Black Flag get swallowed by the ocean, then resurface. Some Davey Jones Locker sh*t right there.
Battlefield 4: Getting Some Head
War must be scary as hell. Bullets flying from all around, people you care about dying in your arms. Nothing about it seems appealing. But you know what would make war a helluva lot scarier? Giant soldiers the size of whole cities coming at you head first through the ground.
If you wanna see just how scary, watch video above. Just makes me wish movies had glitches, TBH.
Fallout New Vegas: Spinning Demon Head Intro
The best part about this glitch is that it is the first thing that happens to some people when they start up the game. The guy who would be a normal old guy for most gamers gets turned into the freaking demon in some copies. His head starts rotating while he is asking you to set up your character.
I imagine few things are as distracting during character creation as the spinning head of a polygonal demon staring at you whilst you make your decisions that will affect your net 200 hours of gameplay. Truth be know, Bethesda is known for this crap. Making games that are (undeniably awesome) but too damn big to fully finished by the time they hit the shelves.
GTA V: Cops On Meth
So note to GTA V players. If you go from a four star wanted level straight into a cut scene (which the game usualy doesn’t let happen), you will be rewarded to what you see above. What it breaks down to is, while in said cutscene, cops will not be aware it is cut scene (due to A.I coding) and will just keep attacking your wanted ass.
As you can see, it is like a Tarantino movie, and is kinda badass. You can’t even be mad at that. Gotta love that cop punch at the end, too. You can feel that haymaker.
Fifa: Man Love
Listen, sometimes you just need to respect the fact that two of your A.I’s have paired off in The Matrix and fallen madly in love. And if your game time gets in the way of their “me time”, they will straight put your game on hold for a little casual loving.
I say good for them for being so preogressive with their views on same sex relations. Many could learn from them. Also, GGGGGOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!
