7 Incredible Superhero Tattoos

Some years back, I wrote about cool superhero tattoos that would tempt even the faint-hearted comic fan to go to a tattoo studio and brave the needle. Since then, I have been seeing newer photos of tattoos of our favorite (and maybe not-so-favorite) superheroes, so I decided to do a quick follow up on that post.

There is a LOT to wade through, to be honest, but I think these 7 can aptly be dubbed as incredible superhero tattoos, not only because I think well of the superheroes involved, but also because of the design and the skill of the artists.

7 Incredible Superhero Tattoos

1. Batman

How can you not think “incredible” is not an appropriate adjective for this Batman tattoo? He looks beat up, but he still reeks of “I’m going to kick your butt” that you wouldn’t want to meet him in a dark alley.

2. The Joker

I find this Joker tattoo to be poignant somehow. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel like it gives a totally different meaning to “Why so serious?”. So, is it just me, or is there something to it?

3. Batman Meets van Gogh

This might very well be the best of this list of incredible superhero tattoos, if only because of the juxtaposition of Batman and well, one of Vincent van Gogh’s greatest works. Who doesn’t recognize Batman? Who doesn’t recognize The Starry Night? Seriously, how awesome is this combination?

4. DC Tramp Stamp

For lack of a better term, I label this superhero tattoo the DC Tramp Stamp. As you can see, the logos of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in one. If anyone would ever have a reason to get a tramp stamp, why not this?

5. Batman and Catwoman

I’m starting to realize that this list is almost all about Batman, so pardon me if you wanted more of other superheroes. You can’t deny, though, that this Batman-Catwoman combination tattoo is something special. Unless you absolutely hate Selina Kyle.

6. The Flash

The Flash TV series is coming out soon (October 7), and everyone’s excited to see how it will turn out. In the meantime, this tattoo captures the essence of the fastest man alive, don’t you think?

7. The Joker and Harley

Last, we have two of my favorite crazy supervillains. I think this superhero tattoo does not need any explanation, does it?

So what do you think of these superhero tattoos? Do you have one of your own? Why not share them with us in the comments?
