Geeks and nerds devour knowledge like a hungry T-rex faced with a bunch of “tourists” who shouldn’t be there in the first place. While the Internet has certainly made it so much easier to find information, there is nothing like a good old book to hold in your hand.
From comic books to omnibuses (or omnibi?) to sci-fi to fantasy to horror to classics – it doesn’t matter. As Cicero said, “Anyone who has a book collection and a garden wants for nothing.”
We’re obviously highlighting the “book collection” part, and that’s why we’re giving you 7 nerdy bookshelves that will make gazing at your book collection even more pleasurable.
Donkey Kong Bookshelf
Never mind that you can’t play the game with this bookshelf, but your collection would look oh so good. The guy who owns the shelf doesn’t seem to have any books – unless I’m blind – but I can imagine my books and omnibuses on this. Plus an action figure or two.

Pac-Man Bookshelf
If you like that Donkey Kong bookshelf, then you’ll also want this Pac-Man (or Puckman) bookshelf. Don’t worry, your books will be safe from the chomping Pac-Man. All you’ll have are envious visitors.
Check it out here.
Mario Bookshelf
This Mario bookshelf was a DIY project by a couple – obviously avid gamers. You can’t get it anywhere, but you can try your hand at making something similar if you’re into DIY, too. Alternatively, find someone who knows what he’s doing and have one made for you. I bet what you spend will be worth it.

Pipe Bookshelf
Here’s something a little more modern, but Mario-approved for sure. The Pipe bookshelf is made from urban industrial black galvanized steel and is made-to-order. It costs $155.44, and you can order one (or two) here.
Batman Bookshelf
We featured a similar bookshelf about a year ago, also with this Dark Knight version, but this Batman bookshelf, you can buy.
The price tag is $180, so you might think twice about purchasing it, but hey, it IS cool. You can buy the Batman bookshelf here.
TARDIS Bookshelf
This awesome bookshelf has made the Internet rounds, but did you know that it was commissioned by a guy for his 18th birthday? This bookshelf may not be that much bigger on this inside, but it does have that sound that makes every Whovian stand up, pay attention, and run towards its source.

Spiral Bookshelf
If you’ve got $600, and you get why this Spiral bookshelf is part of the list, then head over to briannakufa’s shop. This bookshelf is handmade, with the following materials: aluminum, clearcoat, stainless nuts and bolts, drywall anchor, and drywall screws.
