Now this is just insane. A Microsoft Certified Professional at the age of 9? I don’t even think I could read at that age! :)
Arfa Karim of Multan has officially become the youngest MCP in Pakistan, and one of the youngest in the world. Karim, now 10, met with Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates last week–an experience she later described as second only to visiting Disneyland. To attain the credential–at any age–a person has to display technical proficiency in areas such as .Net, Visual Studio 6.0 and Windows Server 2003.
Being proficient at the age of 9 just means you are a certifiable genius. I doubt I could pass those exams at the ripe old age of 23.
Pakistan….Braindumps….she used them…
Well Being mcp is nothing at all you cna just memorise a fun hundred questins from brain dumps and hey presto
I think #2 is just jealous. I admit that I couldn’t pass that test at 14. I plan to in the future though. Congrats to that girl.
Getting an MCP only requires passing 1 exam and that can be anything from the desktop OS, server OS, FrontPage or virtually anything else. Win2000 exams are still available to qualify for this credential. Last there are 9 – 16 year olds in this country that are already attending MIT and Harvard.
A new just got accepted to MIT this year. I like to see those who are slamming this achievement accomplish that, at any age.
It does not take much to accomplish the MCP credential. There are tons of âPAPERâ MCPâs, MCSEâs, MCSDâs or MC+anything for that matter.
There are tons of exam prep materials that folks are just buying (or getting for free â braindumps and the4 like) and memorizing answers and then sitting for the exams, As an MCT I see students who attend classes and actually bring this stuff to the class and ask me my opinion of it.
My response is, like insider information is illegal and can get you arrested, this stuff is insider information you cannot get arrested for, unless you are the one publishing it and get caught.
So give her credit for the accomplishment but this does not mean she knows what she is doing, but we all could be wrong here.
I just wish MS would go to a lab performance evaluation process like CISCO and have the same job experience requirement.
The only good certification coming from MS now is the new MCA (Microsoft Certified Architect). It is the only one that is close to CISCO. I t requires architecture experience, it requires writing a thesis, it is a 6 moth process, it requires a in-person physical panel/board review and lastly you have to be doing this job and part of the review is a visit to your employer Lastly, you have to be selected for this credential via application. You cannot just register for some exam at Sylvan or Prometric.
And who cares about Linux+, Unix, LPI (level 1-3) and the like, they all have braindumps, testking, realexams and the like for purchase. So you really do not need to know anything to pass these exams, you just need a good memory. As I teach classes for these certification and these rock-head students continue to bring these things into class, I ask them, why even bother taking the class if you are just memorizing these things.
Several students have told me that their employers pay for the training, so itâs just the certificate of completion they want / need from the class, they know they will pass the exam using the cheat sheets and showing that you have received training makes you look like you accomplished something.
So age does not matter, anyone can pass virtually any test with cheat sheets and cheat methods.
Fine Young MCP, Indian beats Pakistani
That honor goes to Indian neighbor Mridul Seth who got an MCP at age 8. No wonder outsourcing to that region is so popular.
This is all to say Iâm not a bit surprised that a 10-year-old girl from Pakistan has become one of the youngest Microsoft MCPs ever. Gaining her credentials at 9, Arfa Karim met Bill Gates last week and apparently wants to be just like him, studying at Harvard (just donât drop out, Arfa!) and working for a software company. However, Arfa isnât the youngest MCP of all time.
I got my MCP and MCSA at 15 and I’m currently going for my MCSE now that I am 16.
MCSE != MCP.
The test she took is MCP, which involves plenty of C# dev. That *shit* is difficult and also marketable as opposed to the MCSE *shit*. So before you criticize her accomplishment because it’s related to Microsoft, think about what you accomplished at fourth grade.
#2 is right i passed the test when i was 12. but still, you couldve cut down on the shit
Strikes me that this might just be a case of Child-abuse…
That’s cool. I am quite sure a story just like this one was posted on Forevergeek a while ago…
Too many shit in previous post. Maybe using some dots and commas? :) Or put some // and say what you have on mind exactly…
that isnt shit i passed that bullshit when i was 13, and i could still pass this years test with my eyes closed. im working on my Linux Certifaction fuck MicroSoft Linux pays alot more and will be alot more useful to me in the future colleges/companies might look to see if you have
MSCE shit but they’d be more impressed if you had both linux+ and microsoft+ see what i mean? getting Microsoft Certified isnt shit and if you had taken the test you would have realized there like 5 questions pretaining to .Net and Server 2003
I have been looking at that for days and blinking my eyes and thinking its gotta be fake… I doubt I could pass it either. *I should have posted this first…lol*
