A9: Amazon's new web search engine
Amazon.com has released a new web search engine called A9. It features a search history, search inside the book, adjustable viewing columns, URL shortcuts (a9.com/yoursearchterm), a click history, site info, and more. The results are powered by Google.
The features are activated after you login, and it uses your Amazon.com login, so you don’t have to register if you have ever purchased anything from Amazon (nice!).
There is also an A9 toolbar available for download that is similar to Google’s Toolbar, but adds the new A9 features.
That’s quite a lot of innovative features, and I’ll definitely be trying this for the next few days to see if they are actually helpful, or just eyecandy. (I’m thinking they’ll be pretty helpful though!)
