Amazing God of War Mod for PSP
God of War is undeniably one of the greatest games on the PS2. The fusion of mythological fiction, non-stop action, and surprisingly detailed graphics brought about one of the richest offerings of the last-gen platform.
If you loved GoW as much as I (obviously) did, it may interest you to know that the above pictured God of War modded PSP is on eBay right now, just in time for the new PSP game “Chains of Olympus”. And by just in time, I mean six months early.
From the auction…
The PSP console itself was airbrushed with a deep metallic bronze in an 18-step process and then strategically tarnished to create a battle-worn armor look (like the chest plate worn in the game!). The hand-sculpted war dogs and omega symbol that grace the back were copper leafed, antiqued, and heavily clear-coated. The real chains and edge trim that surround the system were also copper leafed and aged. The face buttons were custom-made after-market copper replacements and are TOP quality. Finally, truly one-of-a-kind crystal-clear RED shoulder buttons specifically made for this project flank each corner.
The custom-made crystal-clear RED shoulder buttons were modified a second time to house tiny red LEDs that are powered by the unit itself! The voltage was calibrated so as not to be either overbearing or too dim. The LEDs are lit up throughout playing and charging time! The battery was upgraded to Sony’s premium rechargable power pack to ensure total game-play time was not affected by the accent lighting. (5 hours +!)
A portion of the proceeds go to the “Child’s Play” charity. Now…should I bid on this one, or wait for the forthcoming Vader-themed PSP? Decisions, decisions…
