An entirely new definition of FireWire
Who said Apple’s new Intel-based MacBookPro doesn’t have FireWire? Apparently, one of this new breed of oh-so-thin, oh-so-light and oh-so-fast Apple notebooks has recently redefined the meaning of FireWire, when its supposedly oh-so-safe MagSafe power cord plug blew up in flames.
I remember having tripped on my laptop power cord a month back and sending my beloved ThinkPad flying to the floor, LCD-side first (more or less unscathed, thank God). I had wished I had a MacBookPro so I could trip all I want without the risk of destroying my laptop in the process. But I guess MagSafe’s not so safe after all.
That said, I’d still want to get my hands on a MacBookPro.
