Anime Expo 2017 - Concerts, Art, Panels, and of course, Cosplay!

Anime Expo is always the biggest anime, manga, and Japanese culture event of the year in LA, if not the whole United States. And this year didn’t disappoint. Between the panels and anime screenings within the convention center and across the street at the JW Marriott hotel, the ever expanding artist alley and gaming area downstairs, and the massive exhibition halls that give you the chance to buy anything and everything you’d ever want in the realm of anime, Anime Expo somehow finds a way to get bigger and better every year.
This year, we took in the Anisong World Matsuri concert at the Microsoft theater, hit up an after party held inside an old bank vault, commissioned some sketches from some amazing artists down in artist alley, went to the FLCL panel and re-lived the original series at a special screening, and fought off the urge to buy just about every Gundam in the place.

It’s going to take us awhile to recover from everything we experienced this past weekend. Hopefully we’ll get some rest before Anime Expo returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center in early July 2018. See you next year!
