Any anime music lovers out there may be interested in the Anime House Project, which had its first volume released on August 26. So what is the Anime House Project? Basically, it’s a collection of popular anime tracks that have been redone house-style. If you’re unfamiliar with house, wikipedia has a pretty good explaination of what it is, but it would be much easier to understand if you just listen to it. The good thing about this project is that they have a website with samples of their music.
So some of you might be wondering what is so special about the Anime House Project, isn’t it just some people copying music and trying to sell it as their own? Well, maybe it is, but the people involved in the project are well known amongst some otaku for their works. Most of the work for this compilation was done by IOSYS, a group which has quickly risen to fame due to the popularity of their Touhou music remixes and flash videos (which I think everyone should check out).
Anyways, if you like the sample music on their main site, there’s a link where you can buy the CD for only 2,000 yen, or you could just loop the sample clips. Of course, for anyone interested, the second volume will be released on November 25.
