Apple Funds Scholarship
Apple has created a scholarship fund that will help students heading out to do a two or four year program.
The scholarship gives the chosen students US$2,000, an iPod nano, and a MacBook Pro. Any high school senior entering into a 2 or 4 year program in the Fall of 2006 who is a US resident is eligible to enter the competition. Students must demonstrate their innovative use of technology in how they do their school work. Judging will be performed as follows:
Get busy on those applications kids, the deadline is May 30, 2006. Oh, and the rules say you can only apply the $2,000 to your tuition.
I wish I would have had a chance at a scholarship like that…not that I would have won, but still… Good luck to those in the USA that are able to apply, and actually do so.
One thing this makes me think of is if a company I hated (not saying I hate Apple), said they would pay for my schooling but I had to work for them for as many years as I was in school…would I do it? Would you take a deal where you had to work for a company you didn’t like for as many years as they paid for your school?
