Attack on Titan is an awesome, intense, gory, evenly paced (just kidding it plods at times) anime show about a group of massive creatures that attack and eat locals (usually head first). A team is assembled with the skill to fight these things, but first they have to overcome their fears and actually work together to fell this giant beasts.
While the concept of Attack on Titan works really well as a show, adapting the series into video games has not gone well up to this point. Well, good news if you are as big (see what I did there?) a fan of this kickass series as I am. Seems the newest PS4 Attack on Titan game actually does a really good job of capturing the show’s magic. A liberal balance between high action and storytelling with a great setting almost making it feel as if you are playing an episode of the anime yourself (especially when you clash with the armored Titan and variants). And yes, you can pick between the full roster of characters from the show, each with unique attacks and moves, making the game more playable and replayable with different styles. Honestly, I am just happy this series finally got the video game love it deserves. It is not perfect and not without is repetition, but fans of the show (and fans of fighting and killing big things) will dig the new Attack on Titan game, big time.
Okay, I will stop overusing “big” now. Sorry, I don’t believe in thesauruses.
