Auror's Tale: Upcoming Web Series for Serious Harry Potter Fans

Auror's Tale

I’ve been sitting on this for a while now, but I wish I hadn’t. One look at the teaser video was enough to convince me that Auror’s Tale is worth sharing to everyone.

Any Potterhead would immediately recognize an auror as an elite officer of magic who works for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Magic. I suppose it is everyone’s dream to become an auror at some point.

With Auror’s Tale, this dream should become an even stronger desire.

The web series is set in New York City, which is in disarray (maybe not too far from reality) because of the forces of dark magic rising. In lieu of the NYPD, we are treated to the NYC Department of Magical Law Enforcement(DMLE), which offers the only line of defense for the average person.

The protagonist comes in the form of Hawthorne, the newest recruit of the DMLE, while the antagonists are characterized by a gang (black magic practitioners, naturally) called the Hellhounds.

One can easily see the potential of the web series, what with the popularity of magic-based stories today. And once you’ve seen the teaser below, you just might start waiting in anticipation as well.

Auror’s Tale is the brain child of Red Phoenix Pictures and is by no means associated with the author of Harry Potter (that includes the production group of the official movies as well). As a matter of fact, you should not expect characters from the franchise to show up. It’s a totally different show.

The cool thing is that Auror’s Tale is created by hardcore Harry Potter fans who add their own creative juices to the concept. While I cannot be included in that group, I have to say that I am looking forward to seeing Auror’s Tale unfold starting this summer.
