Star Trek is set to boldy start a new adventure this fall on CBS All Access, with a whole new ship, a brand new crew, and a few familiar names, even if they might not look exactly as we remember them.
With throngs of geeks filling every nook and cranny of the San Diego Convention Center, it’s sometimes hard to remember that there is so much more to be found outside the con, in the streets of the city, around nearly every corner. Here we explore what we found most compelling and fun beyond the con during San Diego Comic-Con 2017.
We got to step into the world of a whole new era of Star Trek, set 10 years before the rise of Captain Kirk to intergalactic fame, by stepping off of 5th Street in the San Diego Gaslamp Quarter and into an art gallery turned Star Trek museum filled with costumes, weapons, and concept art from the new series, Star Trek Discovery.
Here is just a sample of some of the amazing sights we witnessed last week, making us ready for September to arrive at warp speed.
Watch Star Trek Discovery premiere on CBS and then continue to follow the series online exclusively on CBS All Access, starting this September.
