Bring Beauty and Order to Massive MP3 Collections
Maybe iTunes keeps all your music neat and tidy. Good for you. Some of us, however, have large mp3 collections culled before the advent of iTunes. And some us (*cough*me*cough*) are pretty lazy about renaming files and keeping them orderly. With my mp3s barely alphabetized, I might have to follow this guide and use the included tools to organize my mp3s.
The guide includes three Perl scripts for filename beautifying, genre sorting, and WinAmp playlist relocating. I’m not sure how well this works, but it’s probably worth a shot for people that have large, chaotic mp3 collections.
