On Monday, a Change.org petition banning the infamous Pick Up Artist (PUA) Julien Blanc [working with “Real Social Dynamics”] from entering Japan, was submitted to the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau. The petition had 36,000 signatures of people who wanted to keep Mr. Blanc out of Japan, under the stipulation he wanted to enter the country with the intention of committing “forcible indecency.”
We covered the topic earlier in: Misogynistic “Pickup Artist” Julien Blanc’s next stop is Tokyo
There has been no word from the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau or the Real Social Dynamics’ Japan office regarding Mr. Blancs visa status or seminars in Tokyo.
Although the first video that went viral had Japanese subtitles, the topic of Mr. Blanc and his PUA agenda were slow to hit Japanese news. Several prominent J-vloggers, videobloggers on Youtube who live in Japan, were some of the first to cover Mr. Blanc’s antics. From then on, information trickled primarily through English newspapers and English blogs before hitting Japanese television.
Fuji TV covered the issue on Wednesday evening, playing some of the warning videos.
As of Thursday evening (Japan time), there are over 50,000 signatures on the Change.org petition calling for RSD’s Julien Blanc’s seminars to be cancelled in Tokyo.
