Curiosity Is Here - Ready To Find Out What's Inside the Cube?
Peter Molyneux has been teasing us for months. Now his grand experiment is finally here, and it’s full of surprises. Ready to find out what’s at the center of the cube?
iOS and Android users can download Curiosity for free right now, and get started. (Learn all about Curiosity from our past coverage.) So far, there are nearly 24,000 users trying to find out what’s inside the cube. But you may notice it takes quite some time to log in right now. On its Twitter feed, 22cans has acknowledged that there are far more players accessing their live servers, causing them to lag.
@johnsebastian sorry John, we didn’t anticipate this many curious people and our servers are trying to catch up. Engineers are on it!

One thing jumped out at me in the app’s description: Each layer of the cube holds something unique for the world to reveal. So what are these surprises? Are they just images/skins on the cube? Or is there more to it?
So far, I’m enjoying the experiment. It does have some gaming elements to it, as you’re challenged to break as many “cubelets” as possible, as fast as possible, and you’re rewarded for it with coins. I never imagined that popping little cubes would be so compelling, but it’s remarkably addictive. It’s also really fun to see the cube in realtime and watch how it changes.
What are you waiting for? Jump in and see if you can be the one to reach the center and find the surprise hidden there.
