Dutch Ad Makes 3D Sculptures from Books

This takes the “author bio” to a whole new level.

To promote this year’s Dutch Book Week, an advertising agency named Van Wanten Etcetera created this series of posters about autobiographies. The images, named “Written Portraits,” are comprised of books that sport the sculpted visages of their authors. The pages of the books are the real deal, using text from the depicted author’s actual autobiography.

But despite how realistic they look, Dutch ad agency Souverein (translates as “Sovereign”) created the sculpted book images entirely via computer.
